Did you know you should never argue with a porcupine? Or try to win a battle with a cactus? I tried both and lost BIG TIME! They found me as a stray with another dachshund, both of us covered in porcupine quills and cactus thorns! Owwee! Fixed me up and treated the wounds. Then named me Spike! All healed up and ready to go now. You’ll find I’m a wonderful, friendly, assertive (but not pushy), confident gentleman that LOVES to cuddle. There will never be a night when you aren’t well protected as I always want to sleep right with you. I'm not much for being crated and get a little upset if made to tolerate them. After all! How can I protect my home and family if I'm locked inside a cage? I do need to be kept occupied as I become a little nervous when left alone. If I must share my home with another dog, I'd prefer it be a nice lady since I'm not much for the competition of boy dogs. Hate to brag, but they say I’m drop dead handsome in every way. So, here I am. Happy. Healthy. Hopeful. Only one thing missing……….YOU! Please come get me and let’s start this new page of life together.
